Guy Code Decoded: Texting

Ok ladies, so you know how you sit around with your friends and you talk about all the stupid things guys do and possible reasons why they do those stupid things? Well disregard every possible scenario that you've managed to come up with because 10 times out of 10, you are wrong. Guys are guys, and sometimes they do things girls will never understand. But no need to get all flustered because I come to you with valuable information that every girls needs. I've done the research, collected and analyzed the data, and put together the ultimate survival guide for the female species. This is Guy Code: Decoded!


When it comes to texting, every message matters. I played out a few scenarios for my guy friends and they gave me their input about what's going on in a guys mind when it comes to the world of texting.

1. You're constantly texting him first and he takes forever to respond.
Brace yourself because he's just not that into you. He probably doesn't see much coming out of the relationship and you should just back off. There's a small chance that he might actually be busy, but no matter how busy a person is, they still make time for the things that matter most to them. So if he's not putting in as much effort as you are then just take a step back and take your talents somewhere else. There's plenty of guys out there, don't get all emotional over the one guy that's not texting you back.

2. He calls you boo, baby, babe, and you guys aren't dating
He definitely wants the cheeks aka sex. He's just trying to be smooth and sweet talk you. This isn't necessarily a crime in my book, but some girls think too much into it. Just relax and go with the flow.
Don't send out the wedding invitations just yet.

3. He only hits you up during "booty call" hours.
If he does not text you at any other time, but always manage to ask "u up?" between 12a.m-3a.m, then he obviously has different plans for the both of you.

4. Emojis!!
We love emojis, they say the things we won't say upfront. They're a great way to flirt through text messages, so use them.

5. Is it your turn to send the first text?
This can save your life, because you could find yourself in a situation where you're always the one sending that first text of the day. If the conversation always ends because he stopped responding, then let him hit you up the next time you guys text. Don't sit by the phone counting the hours that goes by before he texts you either. Just chill out, if he wants to talk and if he's interested then he'll hit you up.

At the end of the day, texting should never become the number one issue in a relationship or a potential relationship. Stop making a big deal out of the little things =)
